COVID-19 Testing and Vaccine Update

January 11, 2021

Dear Residents and Families:

We continue to see signs that the surge of the virus in our Community is ending.  Our latest round of mass testing resulted in no new positive cases.

Our next round of mass testing is scheduled for this week, and we will immediately communicate the results to residents, their responsible parties/designated family members and primary healthcare providers upon learning of the results, as well as continue monitoring residents for signs and symptoms of the virus.

We have finally received more information about when our first round of vaccines will take place.  Our vaccine clinic for our residents and staff will take place on-site and is scheduled for January 17.  We have been contacting residents and families individually to notify them.  We have been collecting needed consent forms to administer the vaccine.

Please remember that the benefits provided by the vaccine will not be experienced until sometime after the second dose which will occur sometime between 21 and 28 days after the initial vaccine.

If we continue to see no new positive COVID-19 cases in our Community during the next rounds of mass testing, we will notify you of any resulting changes in visitation, group activities and communal dining.

Please reach out with questions, concerns, or requests for assistance.
